question for Christians

If you ignore what you believe about your God and set everything aside that you feel about your God, what is left of your experience with Him?

Strangely enough, I've been ruminating about the very problem of belief and experience today.

Is there substance to a belief that is only a mental acceptance of certain propositions? How is there anything personal about that? And, if we believe that Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, then we believe that Truth has become a person...not a text or a series of a priori propositions.
